New Ordinance Regarding Group Homes and Residents Goes Into Effect

City Council passed legislation for Group Homes and Unlicensed Residential Facilities and Homes. The following new guidelines are now in effect:
  • Operators must register with the City for zoning, building and rental registration.
  • Uses are restricted to Multiple Family Dwelling Zoning Districts (R-3 or R-4) with Special Exception approval UNLESS GRANDFATHERED IN BEFORE OCTOBER 31, 2023.
  • The distance (or buffer) between facilities is now 1,500 feet.
