Medical Marihuana Commission
The Medical Marihuana Commission was created through Section 3 of the City of Pontiac Ordinance number 2357(B) as approved by the Pontiac residents on August 7, 2018.
Powers and Duties
The Medical Marihuana Commission shall review and decide all appeals that are forwarded to it by the Clerk under this ordinance. The medical marihuana commission shall review all appeals de novo. The medical marlhuana commission shall only overturn a decision or finding of the clerk if it finds such decision or finding to be arbitrary or capricious and not supported by material, substantial, and competent facts on the whole record considered biy the clerk in arriving at such decision or finding.

Four (4) members of the medical marihuana commission are appointed by the Mayor for a term of three (3) years.. The membership shall elect from among its members a chairman, vice-chairman, and secretary. Members must be residents of the city.
