The City of Pontiac Human Resources Department Service Center is able to assist you with enrolling in benefits, answering insurance coverage questions, updating your personal information, and assisting you with navigating through the retirement process.


The City has taken great care to seek a fair balance between business needs and employment security. There are many options available which afford City staff with coverage to best suit individual and family needs. In many cases, deductions are available on a pretax basis. The City engages in periodic Request for Proposals for benefits to ensure premiums and coverage remain competitive and comprehensive and help provide employees with financial security.

Employment verification processes

If you are an active or former employee of the City of Pontiac, or a third party organization that requires verification of employment with or without pay history, you must submit the request in writing including the full name of the employee, social security number, date of birth, as well as signed authorization form by the employee to: City of Pontiac - Human Resources, 47450 Woodward Avenue, Pontiac, MI 48342-5009 or fax to 248.758.3197.
