The new 2021-2025 Master Plan for Pontiac's Parks and Recreation has been adopted and put into action.

There is no shortage of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors in Pontiac. In addition to Pontiac's 30 city parks and recreation fields, there are three metroparks and six state parks within a short distance.

City Parks

Pontiac has 8 major parks and 22 neighborhood parks. Below are a list of parks and the facilities that are available. Click on the map to get a detailed map of some of our major parks.

Major Parks with Amenities

1. Galloway Lake Park - Perry St. @ Giddings Rd. Sport recreational areas including, Two softball fields with press boxes, Basketball courts, Tennis courts Playground equipment Picnic area with tables, grills & trash receptacles Dock & fishing area MINIMAL RESTROOM FACILITIES AVAILABLE 2. Hawthorne Park - Telegraph Rd. & Hawthorne Park Dr .
