The Building Safety Division administers and enforces the building code statutes and other related municipal ordinances (including the rental property code) which provide for minimum standards of building construction and use for the health and safety of the public.

Due to COVID-19 concerns:
Access to the Building Safety department is limited to 2 customers at a time. All others are asked to wait in the hallway, while maintaining social distancing.

Building Safety Document Retrieval
Document retrieval may be provided for Building and Planning Department documents that are not available online. To see if your document is available online please go to https://bsaonline.com/?uid=825. If the document(s) you request are not available online, please complete and submit the Document Retrieval Application with the appropriate fee to the Department of Building Safety. Once the application is received please allow 3-5 business days to process your request. You will be notified if/when documents are available for review. If your request is not handled through the Department of Building Safety, please contact the appropriate department.
