Mayor Leon Jukowski
The City of Pontiac has a Strong Mayoral form of Government. The Mayor is in charge of the Executive Branch of City Government. The Mayor is responsible for the efficient administration of all departments of the city. It is also his responsibility to recommend an annual budget to the City Council. The Mayor appoints all department heads as well as the Police and Fire Chief subject to the approval of the City Council. He also appoints members to Pontiac's many boards and commissions
The Mayor, or his representative attends all Council Meetings in order to address issues raised by council members and citizens.
