Neighborhood Empowerment Project
The Neighborhood Empowerment Project (NEP) strengthens the City's neighborhood areas by providing citizen advocacy groups an opportunity to submit proposals that will help improve neighborhood conditions.

CITY AND COUNTY ANNOUNCE POTHOLE PLANS

The City of Pontiac working in conjunction with Oakland University has developed  the Complete Streets Master Plan as a way to promote healthier lifestyles. The plan helps identify existing and potential non-motorized pathways.

City Released from State Oversight

Governor Snyder has signed the order that completely removes the City of Pontiac from state oversight ending eight years of state control. Click here to read the details.

Youth Recreation Implementation Plan

The City has created a "Youth Center and Programming, Operational Implementation and Design Guideline" to provide youth recreation activities from funds generated from the Youth Millage approved by voters last year. Click here to read the full plan.

CITY REACHES HEALTHCARE SETTLEMENT WITH RETIREES

Flagstar Bank announces $10 million investment in city of Pontiac(Oakland Press)

Troy-based Flagstar Bank hopes to spur economic development within the city of Pontiac, announcing a $10 million investment into the city. A ceremony was held on Monday, Sept. 19 with a formal announcement.

The investment comes almost a year since Flagstar bank said it would allocate funds to one of Pontiac’s oldest performance venues for renovations and rebranding as the Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts. The venue is set to open this December.
