Biography:

Kathalee James retired from General Motors as a Senior Quality Engineer. She worked in the Metal Fabricating Division and is ASQ Certified. Councilwoman James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oakland University and has affiliations with Eastside Church of God located in Pontiac as an Acting Pastor.

In 2012, she was the Founder and President of Friends of the Pontiac Parks Association. In addition to her many affiliations, she was a Board Member of Pontiac Community Foundation, Village of Oakland Wood located in Pontiac and Presbyterian Villages of Michigan. Councilwoman James was elected to represent City Council District Four in November 2021 to a four-year term expiring on January 1, 2025.
