HOME RULE CHARTER
May 3,1982

"4.109 Except as otherwise required by law or the charter of the City of Pontiac, the term of members on all boards and commissions in City government is four (4) years and members of boards and commissions are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. Re- appointment of a person to the same board or commission for an additional consecutive term is subject to approval by the Council. Except as otherwise required by law or this charter, all boards and commissions are advisory."
 

The members on these boards, commissions and councils include civic-minded citizens of the community who give of their time and serve with nominal or no compensation.
